- Rav Doron Perez is a rabbi originally from South Africa, who attended the wedding of one son as the other, an IDF tank commander, is being held hostage in Gaza since the October 7 attacks. Both sons are in the Israeli military.
Rabbi Peretz, is also Chairman of the World Mizrachi Movement. Rav Peretz is a renowned orator and a sought-after speaker and scholar-in-residence in communities around the world. He is also the author of the book “Leading the Way,” which is a collection of writings on some of Jewish life’s most important matters-Israel, leadership, education, virtues and vices, the Days of Awe, and life and death.

Thank you for giving US chizuk! It should be the other way around. We daven for Daniel and all hostages to have strength, to know HaShem and all of us are with them, and they should be able to rise above, get strong, and HaShem should make a neis and they should find their way out of there! And the entire world will see it's HaShem running this show, not evil creatures, not the US, etc... For the sake of HaShem's gret name, He should make a neis, get them out, healthy in body and mind and strong. Because we all know, HaSh-m can do anything.

Wonder, powerful story. One possibly 'erroneous' statement. If Rav Kook were serving as a Kohen in the Bais HaMigdash he wouldn't be wearing sandals. The Kohanim did the avodah barefoot.
